Police have sent a search warrant to Twitter headquarters as they seek information about two accounts alleged to have sent threatening messages to the Juno star. Page reached out to the LAPD after receiving multiple death threats via the site back in June, TMZ said Sunday.
“I’m going to murder Ellen Page. She’s dead,” read one message.
Another disturbing tweet threatened to kill the brunette over her relationship with True Blood actor Alexander Skarsgard.
The messages have since been deleted, but investigators say the posts coincided with a phone call to organizers of the Los Angeles Film Festival — where Page’s new movie To Rome with Love premiered on June 14. An unidentified caller promised to attend the festival and “kill Page.”
