Kristen Stewart to Duck |
Kristen Stewart will reportedly be a no show at the London premiere of her film 'On The Road' on August 16.
The film - which additionally stars Sam Riley, Garrett Hedlund, Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams and Tom Sturridge - premiered at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival on May 23.
It is an adaption of the novel On the Road, written by Jack Kerouac in April 1951. The largely autobiographical work documents spontaneous road trips made by the author and his friends across mid-century America.
According to Radar Online, Kristen feels that her presence at the premiere could prove distracting, taking the focus away from Kerouac's story that is considered a defining work of the post war generation.
Also, Sturridge is already scheduled to walk the red carpet and he is a friend of Robert Pattinson. Their presence together could be awkward.
Kristen wants the audience to focus on her work in the film, not the cheating scandal that she is embroiled in.
