Kareena Kapoor Back in Bhansali's 'Ram Leela'

Sanjay Leela Bhansali was reportedly not convinced that any actress other than Kareena Kapoor could do justice to the role of a desi Juliet in his newest, Ram Leela, which features Ranveer Singh as male lead, so Kareena is back in the film.
Kareena was to sign on the dotted line yesterday according to sources close to the film.
After Kareena's fallout with Bhansali, there was a buzz that Priyanka Chopra will replace Kareena. Then there were reports that Bhansali wanted a lighter skin actress for the role and was keen on Katrina Kaif but her dates were not available until much later. He then went on to sign Deepika Padukone for the role a week ago.
A source close to the filmmaker however says that Bhansali did some rethinking and felt that his original choice, Kareena, suited the role best.
"He was not too sure about Deepika essaying the role. Even after auditions he felt she was not apt for it. He did toy with the idea of launching a new face but later felt that Kareena suited the character best. He eventually went back to her," a source told Mid-Day.
As for Kareena she readily came on board. According to her camp, after Bhansali agreed to her conditions, which he had earlier declined to do leading to her walkout from the film.
"She knew she was the original choice, after all. She agreed to be part of it again on her terms and conditions," says the Mid-Day source.
However, Bhansali camp sources say the director has retracted and signed on Kareena because he knows she is not getting married to Saif Ali Khan anytime soon. He had earlier dropped her because he didn't want a married Juliet in the film!
