Samuel L. Jackson is a very impressive actor with great screen presence, but unfortunately he’s also a guy who makes some seriously strange choices when taking roles. He misfired in The Spirit and Jumper as over-the-top bad guys, stupidly appeared in the so-bad-it’s-nah… box office disappointment that was Snakes on a Plane, and was chomped by a shark in record time in Deep Blue Sea in one of the worst CGI scenes in cinematic history. Jackson does lend some style to all his roles simply because he’s the one playing them, but it’s still strange to see him throwing his talent away in such crappy movies. And by the way, call us controversial, but the “motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!” thing wasn’t funny then and isn’t funny now…
