Sharon Osbourne Quits “America’s Got Talent” As Son Jack is Axed

Well, it’s shaping up to be a very interesting week at The Peacock: Following weeks of buzz about her future with the show, Sharon Osbourne has quit America’s Got Talent. And get this: According to The Talk gabber, it’s all because NBC dropped her son from a proposed TV show when they learned he was suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS).

The matriarch was furious when Jack Osbourne, 26, was axed by email from the upcoming NBC reality show Stars Earn Stripes, allegedly because of his diagnosis with the debilitating disease. Now the elder Osbourne has decided she no longer wants anything to do with the network.
In a statement to The New York Post:

“I just can’t be fake. It’s discrimination and it was badly handled. It’s time to move on.”

Sharon remains under contract with NBC, but she isn’t worried about any possible ramifications.

“All they can do is stop me from being a judge on another network for five years.”

David Hurwitz, the producer of Stars Earn Stripes, claim Jack was never hired for series. Both Sharon and Jack admit a contract was never signed but insist the deal was moving forward on a verbal commitment.
Sharon also claims NBC offered to pay Jack his full appearance fee but they declined.
At any rate, a representative for NBC said they regretted any “misunderstanding” which has led to Sharon’s departure.

“Sharon has been a valuable part of the NBC family. We regret any misunderstanding and wish Jack well.”

Anyone smell a lawsuit?
