| Rihanna More Grim News |
Rihanna's former accountants, Berdon LLP, have said that Rihanna and her team are responsible for the millions of dollars that the Barbadian singer lost during her 2009 "Last Girl on Earth" tour. [via TMZ]
The accountants were responding to a lawsuit filed by Rihanna alleging that Berdon LLP mismanaged her account, didn't alert her that the tour was losing money and charged her an exorbitant 22 percent fee for their services.
In their response filed in court, Berdon LLP say that Rihanna lost money because of her "own financial action or inaction" and she explicitly agreed to their commission.
Meanwhile, Rihanna's hard partying and reconnection with Chris Brown continue to draw a lot of tabloid attention, with some reports suggesting she needs to enter rehab.
An insider told Star magazine's current issue that Mariah Carey wants to intervene to arrest Rihanna's tail spin.
"Mariah has decided to swoop in and rescue the Barbadian beauty before she self-destructs!" says the insider. "She was upset by rumors that Rihanna was reconnecting with Chris Brown."
Mariah, who underwent a public meltdown following a bad marriage with record executive Tommy Mottola, has been telling Rihanna, 24, to slow down and has offered to take Rihanna into her home and do some songs with her.
"She sees a lot of herself in Rihanna and wants to protect her," the insider says.
"Rihanna says she's thankful for the concern. the source adds. "But it's going to take a lot to tame her."
