Miley Cyrus has no immediate plans to walk down the aisle with fiance Liam Hemsworth, who popped the question to her with a Neil Lane bauble on June 6, but she has no reservations about spending the rest of her life with him.
Miley, 19, who covers Marie Claire September issue tells the magazine for its cover story that she is looking forward to a long engagement.
"Life is too short not to be with the person you want to be with. I don't really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we've made to each other. And we want to have a long engagement." [via People]
Miley isn't worried that her hunky fiance whose popularity as a star is zooming could stray.
"Neither of us is super jealous. We know each other and would never do anything to hurt each other," she says.
Like Miley, her 22-yaer-old Australian fiance seems to know his mind. Before he popped the question to her, Liam took no inputs from Miley on the hand cut 1800s vintage rock with which he sealed his commitment to her.
"I had no input," Miley tells Marie Claire. I saw it online at one point and thought it was really pretty. I just love that it's old and has a story. And I'm happy because it doesn't look like anything else I wear."
