| Michael J. Fox Eyes Return to TV |
Fox has been living with the debilitating disease for more than two decades. In May, Fox told ABC News that a new drug regimen has helped him control the tics that are a result of the disease and allowed him to take on additional acting roles.
He’s now working with Sony Pictures Television on a single-camera project based on his life — in which he would star. The proposed series will be written by Sam Laybourne, the scribe behind Arrested Development and Cougar Town writer. It would be directed by Easy A lensman Will Gluck.
Fox is best known for his work on the sitcoms Spin City and Family Ties, as well as in the Back to the Future film trilogy. Since cutting back his workload, the diminutive star has notched guest appearances on series like Rescue Me, Boston Legal, Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Good Wife.
