Katy Perry and John Mayer are good friends, drawn closer by music, not love. Mayer has a reputation, but for Katy it's the reputation of the good musician.
According to a Radar Online source, if Mayer is trying to score another celebrity his wait isn't about to end.
"John suggested they should work together on some tracks and Katy is toying with the idea," says the source. "She also knows that John has a soft-spot for her and she's using that to her advantage and loves the attention of being seen with good-looking guys."
Katy "has zero interest in getting together with him and even gave his earlier advances the brush off," the source added.
Katy and John were photographed leaving the Chateau Marmont together late Wednesday night.
Earlier on July 19, they were spotted together at West Hollywood's Soho House. A witness told Us Weekly, "They were affectionate, holding hands and cuddling!"
The next day Mayer, 34, and Perry, 27, shared a pizza at her house.
