It wasn’t al that long-ago when viewers watched Jon & Kate Gosselin remnew their marraige vows on a gorgoues Hawaiian beach, with 8 kids in tow. Now of course the couple has gone through a bitter divorce, ended ther TLC reality series and are now back diiscussng chld support options.
Kate kept the couples $1.2 million home that they purchased “for the children” whlile filming the next to last season of Jon & Kate +8. Kate kept the house and retained primary custody of the couples twins and sextuplets, with Jon granted visitation to the children. Now Jon is saying that he can no longer afford to make the child support payments telling RadarOnline, “I can’t afford to pay my rent they will put me in jail unless I pay child support. I am a single father who’s trying to make ends meet during a recession. What do I do — pay child support or rent? I could lose my house, and I need my home to continue to have custody.”
An attorney for Kate Gosselin says that Jon’s statement is untrue, that Kate “relieved” Jon of the chld support payments, effective April 27, 2012. Kate’s attorney says, “Currently, he is only paying a small amount on arrears for support that was not paid prior to the April date when she dropped support. Those payments will soon end meaning that Kate is the sole supporter of the parties’ children.”
