Gul Panag made us want to drool in a one sleeved Anaika by Kanika Saluja black sequined dress at the Vogue Beauty Awards 2012 at Hotel Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai on Wednesday, August 1.
The former Miss India 1999 wore a body hugging shimmering number ending just above the knees. The puffed long sleeve on one side set off her well toned bare shoulder and arm on the other, and the short length of the dress showed off her enviable pins.
She accessorized with tri-color Steve Madden modern Mary Jane platforms, a black YSL clutch and a classic rolex watch.
The only Bollywood actress to sport a pixie cut, Gul had her hair styled side swept. We keep wondering how she manages to style the short crop differently at each red carpet appearance.
As always, she did the makeup herself: Miracle Touch base by Max Factor, warm hue blush by Body Shop, Mocha Lipper by MAC and nude Givenchy eye shadow.
"It was a very edgy hi fashion look- unlike my usual modus operandi- classic look," Gul told Sawfnews.com exclusively.
Though she rocks her red carpet appearances, Gul doesn't like being dolled up for them.
"I hate the effort that goes into putting a red carpet appearance. Rather go in a pair of brogues/oxfords & jeans!!," she says.
When you blend beauty and brains and step into showbiz, red carpet appearances come with territory and Gul, fresh back from a road trip to Himachal Pradesh, has another four lined up within the week!
