Ouch! The long-running feud between Elton John and Madonna has reached fever pitch, with the Material Mom on the receiving end of some very harsh criticism from her fellow pop trendsetter.

The “Still Standing” hit-maker ripped into the Queen of Pop in an interview with Australian talk show Sunday Night. Elton took jabs at Madonna’s attention-seeking behaviour on her much-criticized MDNA tour (like flashing her nipple on stage, putting a gun to her head and using swastika imagery in her shows), her recent album and her recent candid remarks about pop successor (or pop copycat, depending on whose telling the story), Lady Gaga.
Gaga just happens to be the godmother of Elton’s young son, Zachary.

“Why is she such a nightmare? Sorry, her career is over. Her tour has been a disaster and it couldn’t happen to a bigger c**t. If Madonna had any common sense she would have made a record like “Ray of Light” and stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and make great pop records, which she does brilliantly. But no, she had to go and prove…She looks like a f**king fairground stripper. She’s been horrible to Gaga.”

Earlier this year, Madge was branded “embarrassing” and “desperate” by Elton’s lensman husband, David Furnish. Furnish had a bone to pick with Madge aftr her Best Original Song victory at January’s Golden Globe Awards.
Elton’s original tune “Hello Hello” — featured in the animated movie Gnomeo and Juliet — lost out to Madonna’s ‘Masterpiece,” which served as the soundtrack to the star’s directorial debut, W.E. Furnish unleashed a firestorm on the singer on his Facebook page the following morning:

“Madonna. Best song???? F**k off!!! Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in its narcissism.”
