| Asin Getting Back To Roots, Teams Up With Gautham Menon |
Asin will be directed once again by her Kaakha Kaakha director Gautham Menon, this time for an ad film.
Menon has been roped in for Asin's new ad for a soda brand that she endorses. The two will work together after an eight-year gap.
Menon started out as an ad filmmaker, but has not gone back to it since he made his silver screen debut in 2001 with a Tamil film called Minnale. He was reluctant to accept this project, but the Miranda team persuaded him to give his nod.
Menon wanted to feature Asin in Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikkalam in 2003, but the project fell through. The two later worked together in Gharshana (2004), the Telugu version of Kaakha Kaakha.
The shoot will be in Asin's home state, Kerala.
Gautham will be shooting the ad in the backwaters of Kerala, reports TOI. He is currently visiting the state to finalize locales and prepare for the shoot.
