Akshay Kumar has reportedly hiked his fees to Rs 40 crore, the highest in the industry, to ensure producers don't offer him a mediocre film
Fresh off the success of Rowdy Rathore and Housefull 2, the 44-year-old star wants to cash in on his second innings in Bollywood.
His career has bounced back after a string of box-office duds such as Tees Maar Khan and Action Replayy.
"He knows that not many film-makers can afford his price. The ones who can will be the top-notch ones," a source close to the actor told Deccan Chronicle .
"Barring friends like Sajid Khan, Akshay won't compromise on his fees," the source adds.
