US Women take Bronze in 400M Relay |
Missy Franklin and Jessica Hardy swam the first two legs and gave the United States the lead until the third leg. The relay team saw a change just before the race, dropping 11-time Olympic medalist, Natalie Coughlin from the relay. The race-time decision was a difficult one for Coughlin’s trainer, Teri McKeever.
NO official word on why Natalie was dropped, especially after her amazing time during prelims this morning, blistering her leg at 53.93. Due to Natalie’s participation in the prelims, she earned her 12th Olympic Medal.
