Twihards React to Kristen Stewart Cheating Scandal

Well…you knew it was coming. The shocking news (Insert rolling eyes here…) of Kristen Stewart’s betrayal of boyfriend Robert Pattinson with a dashing British director has rocked the online Twilight community, with fans of the franchise taking to Twitter and YouTube to voice their shock, disapproval and support.

Late Tuesday, news broke that Kristen Stewart had a bried fling with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, 41. Most Twihards were in disbelief, but Kristen opened up to the affair and issued the following apology to People magazine:

“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”

Kristen and Robert have been an item since meeting on the set of the first Twilight film in 2008.
Minutes after her statement, Rupert — a married father of two — issued a mea culpa of his own:

“I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.”
