Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber Relationship Remains Precarious

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber salvaged their relationship from the brink in the beginning of July after a big fight during Ashley Tisdale's birthday bash, but they haven't sailed out of the rocky patch yet.

A source tells the new issue of Star magazine that Bieber is holding on to Gomez telling her she's "beyond lucky" to have him as a boyfriend.

"He's so arrogant and immature at times," says the Star source. "Her friends keep telling her to just dump him for good already."

Whenever Bieber senses that Selena is close to pulling the plug, he wins her over with a big splash of romance, like the Staples Center screening of Titanic or the more recent helicopter ride in Toronto during the rehearsals for the MuchMusic Video Awards.

Most recently, Bieber took Gomez out for a romantic dinner at Il Cielo in Beverly Hills on her 20th birthday July 22, 2012after the Teen Choice Music Awards.
