Shortly after ratings for Today dipped out of first place, in more than a decade, NBC executives decided they needed to make a change. Well, we all know Matt Lauer isn’t going anywhere, especially after he just inked a new major contract extension. So, the choice was Ann Curry. Curry, known for her incredible work as a journalist, never clicked with the audience, as a co-anchor.
We all know that after the first 30 minutes, the Today Show is just fluff and Ann isn’t that kind of reporter. So now…Savannah Guthrie will be stepping in to fill Ann’s shoes. Guthrie called the job, “an honor” this morning and was all smiles as Matt welcomed to her studio 1A in Rockefeller Plaza.
