Katie Holmes Sparks Dating Buzz with Night Out in NYC

 Hollywood’s eyes have been fixated on the starlet ever since she announced plans to divorce Tom on June 29. So imagine Goss Gawkers surprise when the 33-year-old actress was seen out on the streets of the Big Apple Friday night with an even bigger smile on her face and a gentleman caller walking right behind her.
Was it a date? Not quite, sources say.
Katie was simply enjoying dinner with her attorney Jonathan Wolfe and his wife Renee, People magazine reports. The trio seemed to be enjoying each other’s company, with Kate and her lawyer friend struggling to mask their beaming grins. Holmes looked more relaxed and at ease than she has in weeks after dining at the NoMad Hotel in the city’s famous Flatiron District.

And with good reason: Not only does Katie appear to be reclaiming her social life, it turns out dumping Tom Cruise is the best thing that ever happened to her fledging fashion line, Holmes & Yang. Sales have been reportedly rising since news of the split broke last month.
Sales assistants at luxury NYC department stores Barneys and Bergdorf Goodman says sales for the line have soared since TomKat’s divorce announcement. Robert Burke, a former Bergdorf Goodman executive, told The New York Times:

“The way she’s getting photographed today, she’s in a position to get more exposure than ever before. She’s not waiting for fashion editors and stylists to come and pull her clothes.”
