Deepika Padukone Cancels Shoot Due To Exhaustion, Rushes To Bangalore

Having gotten a whiff of the sweet smell of success from new romcom Cocktail, Deepika was back on the set of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in Mumbai, but had to cancel her shoot due to exhaustion.
A star who's been known to thoroughly prepare for every role, she has been advised a forced rest by her doctors in treatment of acute exhaustion. The 26-year-old actress is spending some downtime with her parents in Bangalore.
"On Thursday, Deepika was shooting for a song with Ranbir Kapoor in Mehboob Studios. She had been feeling very low and weak since the past couple of days. She underwent a check-up and was advised to take complete rest for the next five days at least," Deepika's friend told Mumbai Mirror.
"Naturally her parents were alarmed and advised her to come over to Bangalore, which would keep her away from her hectic schedule in Mumbai. Her shoot of Karan Johar's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani directed by Ayan Mukerji was taking at least 11-12 hours every day. Add to this her other meetings, which involved post-release promotions of Cocktail and meetings with filmmakers over fresh offers."
We have heard of a similar situation occurring with Priyanka Chopra in the past.
This is of course, the irony of making it in the film world. You struggle to become noticed but, once you're there, it's hard to not get caught up in it.
