Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone Front-runners For 'India's Next Top Model'

Aishwarya Rai and Deepika Padukone are in the reckoning to host 'India's Next Top Model,' the Indian edition of Tyra Bank's modeling reality TV show, America's Next Top Model.
Big CBS Love is likely to be the channel to debut the show by the end of this year.
"It's the right time to bring the show to India because the fashion and modeling industry here is huge. After going to so many countries in the world, India was the next obvious destination. If you check out the modeling auditions for the fashion weeks, you'll know what I mean," CBS Big rep Tarun Katiyal told HT Media.
He explains that India has never had a show like this one and it will surely be a game changer in India's world of fashion.
"We've not had one big show like America's Next Top Model in India so far. There are some that spot modeling talent, but this one will be the game changer. Hopefully, we'll find a face that can become India's answer to 'the supermodel' concept of the west," Tarun added.
He was evasive about the names of the celebrities considered for the show.
"We've opened conversations with a lot of celebrities, but it's too early for me to confirm any names."
Aishwarya's international fame as L'Oreal brand ambassador and Deepika's hotness make them both desirable candidates for the job. None of the actresses have made their small screen debut as yet.
