| Sanjay Dutt Quits Drinking To Get Back In Shape |
Sanjay Dutt has gone off drinks to shape up into a lean and mean cop for his next with KS Ravikumar, who's making his Bollywood debut with a remake of south blockbuster Saamy.
The 52-year-old has not been able to lose weight after his Kancha Cheena role in Agneepath. He received flak for looking out of shape portraying a cop in RGV's Department.
Sanjay plays a rowdy cop in the remake, and it requires him to do some slick action. Sanjay has taken to gym and has cut back on diet and alcohol.
"He also decided to cut down on alcohol. The role is of a rowdy cop. It requires him to look the way he did before - strong and agile. Since he had a month before the film goes on floors, he decided to follow a strict diet and workout regime," a source fron the film told Mumbai Mirror.
Producer TP Aggarwal says, "Sanjay is very excited about the role. He has been working out two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening every day. He has decided to drink very rarely only on special occasions."
South baddie Prakash Raj will be seen as the villain. Amitabh Bachchan is likely to be on board.
The Sajid-Farhad duo will write the dialogues. Music is to be scored by Himesh Reshammiya.
A 52-day-long schedule will start on August 20 in Hyderabad.
If Sanjay needs any pointers on being fit, he can always look up Salman Khan!
