Robert Pattinson on Wednesday frustrated all attempts by Good Morning America co-host George Stephanopoulos to make Rob open up about the recent cheating scandal that rocked his three year old relationship with Kristen Stewart.
After refusing to be baited into talking about the cheating, Pattinson, 26, said with a touch of finality, "I've never been interested in selling my personal life," said Pattinson,
Pattinson was appearing on the show to plug his new film Cosmopolis which bows in theaters on Friday. George Stephanopoulos alluded to the scandal as the elephant in the room that could not be avoided, to justify his line of questioning. He wondered what Rob may have to say to his fans to assure them that he is doing fine.
After a thought, Rob spotaneously joked, "I like my fans to know… to know that Cinnamon Toast Crunch has only 30 calories a bowl."
Rob defended his appearance on TV saying, "You go on TV to promote movies. That's the only way to do it."
Referring to the screaming fans outside the studio window anxious to hear what their beloved star may have to say about the scandal, Stephanopoulos asked, "Is there any way to get used to this?"
"If you start getting used to this, it means you're going crazy," Pattinson said.
"It's nice," he admitted of the fan adulation. "It's like being on the craziest theme-park ride you've been on. It's totally exciting, but eventually you need a break."
On Monday, Rob deflected questions on the scandal from Jon Stewart while appearing on The Daily Show
