Michael Phelps heading to Reality TV

22 Olympic Champion, Michael Phelps is working to distance himself from the pool and begin the next chapter of his life.
Phelps, who claims that he’s has retired and will not train to compete in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, has landed a deal to appear on Golf Channel’s The Haney Project. “As I enter this next chapter of my life, I think I will be able to shift my competitiveness to anything I put my mind to,” Phelps says in a statement. “And golf is one of the things I want to focus on. … I want to play all the world’s great golf courses, but I’d like to play them well.”
The show hosted by Hank Haney, is a former coach of Tiger Woods, follows golfers as they work to improve their strokes and become more competitive in the world of Golf. Other seasons of The Haney Project have included comedian/actor, Ray Romano, NBC veteran, Charles Barley and Maroon 5 lead singer, Adam Levine.
Phelps is set to begin his journey with Haney in September.
