Katy Perry's Family Concerned about Her Relationship with John Mayer

Katy Perry's initial hookup with John Mayer in July has now blossomed into full blown romance, reportedly leaving her loved one's apprehensive.
An insider tells Star magazine's new issue, "Katy is adamant that John is a great guy, but they aren't having it. They refuse to watch her suffer through another bad relationship."
The friend adds, they "dealt with Russell, even though they knew he wasn't right for her. But they absolutely refuse to accept John - he's far too toxic. It's in her best interest to ditch him now, before she becomes another conquest on his list."
After Katy and John were first spotted together in July, it was reported that they are just good friends drawn together by music. Mayer has a reputation as a lothario and has infamously dated Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Taylor swift in the past, but Katy was only interested in his reputation as a good musician.
The perception about the relationship changed dramatically on August 1, when they were spotted kissing on the patio at West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont. They left together late and spent the night at John's house.
On August 4, they were seen in full on PDA at a pool party in the Hollywood Hills.
An eyewitness told Star magazine, "John and Katy were all over each other. They were holding hands and kissing the entire time. Even in the pool, they stuck together nonstop."
They were together with friends for a few hours and left holding hands.
