Shruti Haasan Set to Make Her TV Debut

Shruti Hassan will make her TV debut in in a new-concept show – MTV Rush, a 13 part film series, directed by Bejoy Nambiar.
The 26-year-old entertainer will be seen in one of the show's episodes performing to her original compositions on stage at a concert.
Shruti confirmed the news:
"When Bejoy approached me with the concept of the show I absolutely loved it. I am extremely thrilled about being part of MTV Rush, where viewers will see me perform one of my original compositions. I had a fabulous time shooting for it and now I can't wait to see how it's been incorporated in the show."
The show, shot like a film, is a never-seen-before genre of programming on Indian television. It's 13 high impact episodes will be aired exclusively on MTV starting July 15.
Bollywood actor Prateik will also make his TV debut in the opening episode of the show in a cameo appearance.
Music producer Mikey McCleary will perform two Bollywood covers on the show. Bands such as Bhayanak Maut, Demonic Resurrection, The Light Years Explode, Shaair + Func and Blakc, who are usually seen performing at city music venues, festivals and college gigs, will feature on the show.
