Pat Summitt honored with ESPY Arthur Ashe Courage Award |
University of Tennessee women’s coach, Pat Summitt, who was forced to retire last year was presented with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award by NFL superstar, Peyton Manning last night. Summitt, was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer in 2011. The coach, who has 8 National Championships to her name, was escorted by her son Tyler last night night and graciously accepted the honor. “Tonight I am deeply touched as all of you heard my story,” Pat said. “I’m going to keep on keeping on. I promise you that.”
