Aamir Khan's Talaash |
Talaash co-producer Ritesh Sidhwani rubbishes rumors of rift between Aamir Khan and Talaash director Reema Kagti over the film and reiterates it will bow in theaters November 30.
Recently there was a report that Aamir wasn't happy with the film's editing in the second half. He called a meeting at his house over dinner with Kagti and the film's co-producer, Farhan Akhtar and Sidhwani. Aamir proposed that some sequences be re-shot, and he be involved in their editing. Kagti bluntly refused and an ugly spat ensued.
Because of Aamir's insistence on a re-shoot the film's release was likely to be pushed back to 2013, since Aamir is now busy shooting Dhoom 3.
Brushing aside the report, Sidhwani told Bollywood Hungama, "How can there be a spat between Aamir and Reema when we have already locked the edit? In fact, we have also commenced recording the background score of the film two days back, which wouldn't be possible if Aamir and Reema were embroiled in a fight over the final content of the film."
Sidhwani said the second trailer of the film will be out soon and reiterated that the film will release on November 30 as scheduled. Aamir will be back from the US in end October after filming for Dhoom 3 and they will begin month long promotions then.
"Let me begin by confirming the release date of the film. It's 30 November. That's final. There's no postponement at all. As for Aamir shooting non-stop for DHOOM 3, yes, he is. But he's back in India in the last week of October, so we will have an entire month to promote our film. Isn't one month of solid promotion enough for an Aamir Khan starrer?"
Talaash, which additionally features Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji, was originally scheduled for release in June.
