| Sridevi Pulls a Kareena Kapoor with Birthday Release |
Kareena Kapoor seems to have started a trend with the release of her film 'Heroine' on her 31st birthday September 21. Now, the producers of Sridevi's comeback film 'English Vinglish' have decided to release the film's trailer on her 49th on August 13.
English Vinglish is produced by R Balki and has his wife Gauri Shinde making her directorial debut with the film. The trailer will be launched at a special event organized by the Balki couple.
"It's really sweet of Balki and Gauri to decide to launch the first theatrical promo on my birthday," Sridevi told HT.
In response Gauri says:
"English Vinglish is a special film for Sridevi; and what better occasion than her birthday to launch the trailer?"
Sridevi's extended family, who will be flying in to Mumbai to ring in her birthday, has been invited to attend the event.
English Vinglish will have a world premiere during the Toronto International Film Festival 2012 and will bow in theaters on September 21.
