Salman Khan Slots 'Sher Khan' for Eid 2013

Salman Khan surprised industry watchers two days ago by announcing that his next will be brother Sohail Khan's Sher Khan, not Kick. He has now locked Eid 2013 as the release date for 'Sher Khan.' The date has consistently proved lucky for him since Wanted (2009).
Sohail wasn't ready to move so fast as the is technically complicated and would require extensive post processing for the special effects.
"Eid 2013 is really cutting it close. But I am definitely going to make an effort to make it for Eid next year. I hope to finish the final draft of the script by August and then quickly assemble the cast and crew. Inshallah, we roll in November and release for Eid," Sohail told TOI.
A source close to the film says:
"Sohail needed a full year at least to shoot the film and then at least another 3 months for post-production as the film requires extensive special effects. Now to meet the Eid deadline he must complete the entire film, post-production included, in 10 months. But Bhai is keen to bring Sher Khan for next Eid. It's his gift to his kid fans. And as of now he won't be doing any other film after Dabangg 2, except Sher Khan."
Salman's past Eid releases have been box office hits - Bodyguard (2011), Dabangg (2010) and Wanted (2009) released during ramazan but picked up on Eid.
He is currently filming for Dabangg 2 which is a Christmas release.
Salman is neck deep into promoting his 2012 Eid release Ek Tha Tiger which will bow on August 15.
