| Robert Pattinson Appears in New York First Time Since Split With K-Stew |
The trouble with Hollywood is that the bigger star you are, the less privacy you have. However, Robert Pattinson stepped up to the challenge and reconnected with his fans in the process.
The Twilight star went out and made his first media appearance post-scandal Monday in New York City. He came from the West Coast to tape The Daily Show.
Jon Stewart gave him some breakup ice cream during the show, and referred to them both as "just two gals" talking.
Mr. Pattinson looked nervous and expressed the wish not to discuss the events of recent times. In spite of this, Stewart said that it sometimes feels so final for people early in life enduring a failed relationship with his guest replying, "It is."
People in the audience then collectively said, "Awwwwwwwwwwwww."
Pattinson appeared more chilled out on the red carpet at the MOMA to promote his new flick Cosmopolis. Always the gentleman, he graciously signed autographs for fans and thanked them "for being here."
The 26-year-old Brit has been camping out at Reese Witherspoon's estate in Ojai, California. His only recent outing was to a local watering hole with friends the previous weekend.
He faced the limelight to push his movie in spite of earlier reports that he opted out of promotional events for his latest drama Cosmopolis. The movie releases this Friday.
Pattinson has been reportedly destroyed by Kristen Stewart's revelation of her infidelity with the director of "Snow White and the Huntsman." The two have since apologized publicly.
