| Joe Simpson Busted for DUI |
The 54-year-old father-and-manager of Jessica and Ashlee Simpson was stopped by officers on Ventura Boulevard in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles at approximately 10 p.m. on Aug. 4, The Insider has learned. Police thought he was intoxicate, so he was arrested.
Joe was booked and spent the rest of the night in a cell. He was released at 9:41 a.m. after posting $5,000 bond.
The case has not yet been presented to prosecutors in the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office yet.
However, if criminal charges are filed, Simpson is unlikely to receive any jail time. First offenders in California ofter receive just a fine.
