| Bobby Brown Checks Into Rehab |
Brown — who was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) in March — is receiving treatment for addiction problems. But his wife, Alicia Etheridge (aka “Saxophone Girl from the “Rumpshaker” music video), says the 43-year-old is “doing great” and responding well to treatment.
Etheridge — who wed the New Edition star just two months ago — has refused to reveal exactly what Bobby is being treated for, but according to Hollywood snoops the repeat rehabber is taking a refresher course in beating alcohol addiction.
Bobby was married to late legendary songstress Whitney Houston from 1992 to 2007. The pair — parents of daughter Bobbi Kristina — had a volatile relationship marred by mutual drug abuse. Houston died in February of a cocaine-related heart attack.
In an interview with NBC’s Today Show earlier this year, Brown denied allegations that he introduced the “I Will Always Love You” hitmaker to illegal substances.
“It’s just unexplainable…How one could, you know, [say that I] got her addicted to drugs. I’m not the reason she’s gone. I was hurt…because, you know, me being off of narcotics for the last seven years – I felt that she was, you know, I didn’t know she was struggling with it still. But at the same time, you know — listen, it’s a hard fight.”
