Women’s Soccer team clinches spot in Next Round of Olympic Games |
Team USA has now scored 7 unanswered goals in its first two Olympic matches at historic, Hampden Park in Glasgow, Scotland. The team moves on to face North Korea in Tuesday’s next match. Team USA defenders were on fire today, holding Colombia to only 1 shot on goal on the day. Hope Solo chalked up her 64th shut-out in International play and leader, Abby Wambach continued her point accumulation.
Goalie Hope Solo thanked fans after the game tweeting, “3-0 and onto the quarters! Proud of our team for keeping our composure during a chippy game! On to Manchester!”
