Tom Cruise Reunites with Daughter Suri in the Big Apple

Tom Cruise has been spending personal time with his daughter Suri.
Mr. Cruise came to NYC Tuesday, just two weeks after his then-wife Katie Holmes, 33, initiated divorce proceedings. He was clicked by photogs toting his daughter Suri inside a hotel.
This was his first time in the company of Suri since Tom and Holmes finalized their divorce July 7.
An onlooker tells People magazine that Tom "looked really happy."
A source close to the 50-year-old star says, "He's been dying to see her." Cruise wrapped his latest movie Oblivion in California last weekend.
Tom was shooting in Iceland on location for the same project when he got news of the divorce petition. He has not physically seen Suri since the middle of June, but the two have kept in touch often through long-distance phone calls.
Cruise came to a mutual understanding with Holmes that their six-year-old daughter will stay in the city in custody of her mother. He will have generous visitation rights.
According to the source, he will "be with her whenever he can."
The two are intending to share many days in the Big Apple. Suri will be starting a local privately-run school this fall there.
People close to both parents reveal that the two will try to ensure the giving-off meetings are agreeable.
"They both know they are going to have to make decisions together regarding Suri for many, many years. And they know she loves both her parents," the insider says.
Suri seems to have been enjoying her time in New York so far, having brunched at Alice's Tea Cup and shopping at FAO Schwarz.
