Taylor Swift Tops Forbes’ List of Highest-Paid Stars Under 30
Taylor Swift has been named the highest-paid celebrity under 30 in an annual list by Forbes magazine. The “Love Story” singer edged out teen heartthrob Justin Bieber after earning $57 million between May 2011 and May 2012.

The bounty is mainly thanks to Taylor’s three albums — Taylor Swift, Fearless and Speak Now — all going platinum at least four times. Swift pockets an average of $1 million per show. She also earns heartily for her endorsement work for brands like cosmetics giant CoverGirl.
Women dominated the top spots in this year’s ranking. Dorothy Pomerantz, Los Angeles bureau chief for Forbes, tells Reuters:
“We are seeing a convergence of these talented women who know how to work the system. The things they have in common, obviously they write great hits, are strong personalities. That really helps them from a publicity point of view. They connect with their fans.”
