Russell Brand Sentenced to Community Service for iPhone Assault

Russell Brand has been ordered to complete 20 hours of community service for throwing a photographer’s iPhone through a window during an altercation back in March.

The former Mr. Katy Perry made headlines when he pulled a “Naomi Campbell,” hurling the paparazzo’s mobile phone through a glass window in New Orleans. Brand was later arrested and booked on a misdemeanor charge of criminal damage.
On Thursday, a city judge ordered the Brit to community service and slapped him with a $500 bill for court fees. The criminal damage charge will be dropped if Russ completes his community service by Aug. 31.
