‘Modern Family’ cast reaches New Deal; Returns to Set

What could have been a HUGE battle between actors and producers, ended today.
The Emmy-winning ABC series, Modern Family, ended their pay dispute today and returned to the Warner Brother’s set. Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sofia Vergara and Ed O’Neil, agreed on a deal that would take the salaries from $65,000 per episode (Except for O’Neil who was pulling in $105k per episode) up to $150,000 for each episode plus a deal for back-end rights for Season 4.
In exchange for the increased salaries, sources say the cast members have agreed to add one year to their existing seven-season contracts and to drop the lawsuit filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Due to the deal being reached quickly, only missing the first table-read of the season, ABC will premiere the first episode of the new season on time, Wednesday September 26th.
