Kate Middleton Tops Vogue's International Best Dress List

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, tops Vanity Fair's annual International Best-Dressed List for 2012.
Kate features on one of the two covers of the September issue of the magazine. Jessica Chastain of The Help, who tied with Kate for the top honor, features on the other.
According to Vanity Fair, the duchess is required to change attire up to five times in a day in the course of her royal duties. Her father-in-law, Prince Charles recently disclosed that he spent $55,000 on the Kate's couture and jewels during the past six months.
Though the tabloids played up the amount as being exorbitant, when it comes to style, Kate relies more on her impeccable taste than extravagance. She mixes designer gowns with affordable attire from Zara and Topshop, carrying them all with aplomb.
According to Vanity Fair, Kate continues to "decline the services of a royal dresser, preferring to personally shop for herself at chains like Topshop."
Interestingly, Kate's brother-in-law, Prince Harry, 27, has also made his debut on the Vanity Fair list this year.
Celebrities on the 73rd International Best Dressed List include Diane Kruger, Jay-Z, 42 and Tom Brady.
Colin Firth and his wife Livia Firth, top the best-dressed couples category.
