Farah Khan says choosing Chitrangada Singh for the Kafirana song in her home production Joker was a sudden decision, because her director husband Shirish Kunder did not find it logical to show a US-returned Sonakshi Sinha turning rustic overnight.
"Somehow Shirish did not want Sonakshi because she has just returned from America to the village and it would have looked odd to show her suddenly dancing to an item song," Farah told UTV Star.
The song is not a typical run of the mill item song which has been already seen before, says Farah who choreographed the number.
"It's a very strong number of our film and it's going to be a big hit."
Talking about how Chitrangada fitted to a T, Farah says:
"Chitrangada I think has a very earthy beauty. She can look very rustic. But I had no idea that she can dance so well. Thank God she can really dance. If you see the song I think its going to be a shocker for quite a few people."

Joker will bow in theaters on August 31.
