| Selena Gomez Single |
Selena Gomez wants to clear the air on rumors about her private life: she and boyfriend, singer Justin Bieber, are very happy together!
The multitalented star discussed her romance with Justin and some other issues in an interview for the lead story of Teen Vogue's September issue. Gomester also talked about wanting to jam with another famous Justin and wishing to act in better projects.
In reference to her longtime relationship with Bieber, Selena says it's "really fun", and that she feels fortunate to have him in her life.
"I'm 20. I don't take anything in my personal life too seriously. I have great friends and a solid group of people I love. I feel like everything else will come organically."
She's quite content to be single, not like fellow Disney alum Miley Cyrus. "Marriage and all that other stuff I think will happen once I feel accomplished in every other aspect of my life."
Selena's very determined to break with her good-girl persona, as reflected in her red carpet looks and current movie roles. The film Spring Breakers, an adventure movie about teen rebels, is a move with this perspective in mind. It releases early 2013.
She was so into SB that she hopped a plane to Nashville, where director Harmony Korine is based, right after seeing the script in the hopes of persuading him she would put in a lot of effort.
As for her work in Monte Carlo, which released last year, she thinks it a good choice for her "at the time", but doesn't want to do a similar role in the future. "I don't necessarily feel accomplished. I want to create a whole different persona when it comes to acting."
The performer also plans to go to the next level with her songs, and one artist she wants very much to work with is JT.
"I don't think he ever would--I don't even think he's doing music anymore--Just 'cause I love his music soo much." Mr. Timberlake, are you listening?
Gomez is up for an award at MTV Video Music Awards. This year's broadcast will be live from Los Angeles, Thursday evening September 6 at 8 p.m. We're definitely keeping our fingers crossed!
