Lady Gaga Cast as Lady Chameleon in “Machete Kills”

Lady Gaga fans are aflutter with the announcement that Mother Monster will be making her film debut in the upcoming box office flick Machete Kills.

Gaga’s involvement in the film — the follow-up to 2010′s Machete — is an effort by director Robert Rodriquez to get “as many big names attached to the film as possible” so it’s “assured a good return at the box office.” All we know about Gaga’s role in the film so far is that she’ll be playing a gun-wielding, lingerie-clad chick named “La Chameleon.”
The singer joins an all-star female cast for the film, including Alexa Vega, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara.
A release date for the action-exploitation film has not been announced.
