Carrie Underwood rocked grey 7 For All Mankind cut off shorts and blush pink alice + olivia top for a performance on the Today Show at NBC studios Rockefeller Center in New York City on Wednesday, August 15, 2012.
Fresh back from Canada where she headlined the finale concert of the Boots and Hearts Music Festival 2012, the 29-year-old singer enthralled fans at an outdoor concert that was a part of Morning Show's summer concert series.
She opened with her hit number Good Girl, performing to a packed and cheering crowd.
She wore a sparkling long sleeved top adorned with a dainty diamond studded gold brooch and light grey shorts with silver brocade foil print featuring a raw edge hem.
She accessorized with shimmering ankle strap Brian Atwood booties and oversized gold earrings.
The platinum tresses were styled in voluminous beach waves. She finished off with smokey eyes and a glistening pink lipgloss.
Answering questions posted online by fans during the show, she talked about how she misses her farm house back home, her love for dogs who are touring with her in the tour bus, and how Brad Paisley ended up paying her $100 over a lost bet over the name of a singer.
Carrie got up very early to be ready for the show.
"Who woke up at 2:30 this morning? I did, that's who! It's all worth it for the @todayshow!" she Tweeted before the show.
Later, she thanked fans for turning out in huge numbers.
"Had so much fun on the @todayshow! Thanks to all who came out! You guys were awesome!"
Post her NBC concert, appearing on the network's Big Morning Buzz talk show, Carrie said she will start taping for two VH1 specials this fall, VH1 Unplugged and a VH1 Behind The Music.
The VH1 Unplugged will premiere on October 2. The show will include interviews of her mother, husband Mike Fisher and some of her childhood friends.
