Shah Rukh Khan Chosen Over Salman Khan For Debut Of Batman

Salman Khan was dropped from the list of invitees which has Shah Rukh Khan as the chief guest for a special screening of The Dark Knight Rises, scheduled for Thursday, July 19, at Juhu multiplex.

The organisers did not want to take a chance by having two warring Khans together at an event.

"SRK, Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan are amongst the few who have confirmed their attendance for the premiere. And Salman was never invited for this one. The organisers deliberately kept Salman away from it as they would not like to put SRK in an awkward spot," an insider told Mumbai mirror.

What made them choose SRK over Salman was SRK's comment on TV recently that he is so fascinated by the lead actor Christian Bale's performance that he would have married him provided he had a better voice.

"Salman is a big star so there are chances that he may have been invited for the premiere. However, he is very particular about not attending events that may make him uncomfortable. So, he perhaps declined it. Also, he loves to watch films at private screenings with his friends and family," said another source who is close to Salman and SRK camps.

Looks like a smart move by the organizers!
