Rohit Shetty Open to 'Bol Bachchan 2' |
Reveling over the success of Bol Bachchan, Rohit Shetty says he wants to bring the Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan combo back on screen in a sequel.
Rohit plans to first make a sequel to Singham with Ajay Devgn, but is already scouting for an original plot for Bol Bachchan 2. And why not? Bol Bachchan's box-office earnings of Rs98,66,88 crore are incentive enough for the director.
"Well, after Singham released, I'd dismissed talks of a sequel, but then we came up with an interesting story that justifies taking Bajirao Singham back into the Maharashtrian hinterland," Shetty told HT.
"Singham 2 should take off by mid-2013, after I wrap up Chennai Express, and release in 2014."
"I'm open to a Bol Bachchan sequel too, provided we get an original idea that works. I've had enough of South and old Bollywood remakes," said Shetty.
"'Bol Bachchan' might just enter the Rs.100 crore club. I feel lucky, but at the same time, it is adding on to the pressure to give the best everytime."
