Robert De Niro |
Name a classic movie made in the last 40 years and there’s a good chance Robert De Niro was in it. His great films could fill most of this article: Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, the list goes one… However, since the early 2000s the actor seems to have become content to lend his big name to mediocre projects like Righteous Kill, Machete and even the Meet the Parents sequels (*shudder*). De Niro has hardly had a single decent dramatic role since the ’90s, and now seems content to mostly appear in self-deprecating comedies, which is a shame. Watching the most important method actor of the 1970s hamming it up in Little Fockers isn’t really all that funny.
