Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone's Kochadaiyaan Releasing on 12.12.12

The release date for Soundarya R Ashwin's superhero 3D 'Kochadaiyaan' headlining Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone will be the sixty second birthday of the legendary actor, December 12, 2012.

The multi-lingual film will have multi-city premieres across the world. The audio release is planned in Tokyo as the country has a lot of Rajini fans.

"The music release of the film is planned in Tokyo and multi-city premieres of the film are being planned across Los Angeles, London and India. The film is scheduled to release towards the end of the year," producers Eros International Media had recently said in a press statement.

AR Rahman has scored the music.

The action adventure film has been shot in 3D, using Motion Capture Technology, similar to that used in James Camaron's Avatar.

The film additionally features Jackie Shroff, R Sharath Kumar and Shobana.

This will be Rajini's first release since he recovered from a sudden illness last year. He was last seen in Robot (2010) opposite Aishwarya Rai.

For Deepika this will be the second and final release of 2012 after her recent release Cocktail.
