Kareena Kapoor's Halkat Jawani Song Is 'Kareena Specific'

Salim-Sulaiman, the duo who composed the music for the Halkat Jawani item song in Kareena Kapoor headlining 'Heroine,' say the song was not part of the film when Aishwarya Rai was the leading lady.

Stills from the song showing Kareena in a seductive lavani makeover (photo above), posted by director Madhur Bhandarkar on his Twitter account, have created a strong buzz for the film.

Salim revealed to TOI that the song was scored when Kareena replaced Aishwarya.

"The song was composed when Kareena came on board," he said.

Salim shares that Halkat, a word with a Marathi flavor, is just one of the songs that the fans have been introduced to, there are more surprise songs in the film.

"The word halkat is enough to tease the listener. But this is just one song that has been revealed to the media. There are more beautiful songs that you need to look forward to," Salim added.

The film will bow in theaters on September 21.
