Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif Headed For Ladakh This Winter |
Yash Chopra will shoot the climax of his yet-to-be-titled romance film, headlining Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Anushka Sharma, amidst the snowy peaks of Ladakh.
Chopra was to shoot the sequence in Kashmir recreating nostalgia of two of his romantic blockbusters - Daag (1973) starring Sharmila Tagore, Rajesh Khanna, and Rakhee and multi-starrer Kabhie Kabhie (1976).
A YRF team had earlier gone to Kashmir to review the locations, but a change of plans came on Shah Rukh's recommendation.
"Yashji loves the snow in Kashmir and has shot two of his most romantic films, Daag and Kabhi Kabhie, there. They need a snow-capped landscape for the climax. Hence, initially, he contemplated shooting in Kashmir," a source told Mumbai Mirror.
Shah Rukh had filmed for his Dil Se in Ladakh, and he was able to influence Chopra to choose Ladakh over Kashmir.
"The next schedule is in Ladakh," A YRF spokesperson confirmed.
A film shot in London's spring and summer and having its climax in the marvelous snow peaks of India already makes you smell romance in the air!
The movie had two London schedules - the first from February end to March end, and the second schedule from early June to early July. In between, there was a filming schedule at YRF studios in Mumbai.
With the film being mostly based in the London, Kat must have been glad to visit with family and search for a new home!
